Kristina Plesons is a board-certified Adult-Gerontological Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with a strong foundation in both conventional and functional medicine. She has been a practicing RN since 2007, with extensive experience in critical care, cardiology, internal medicine, and functional medicine.
Kristina earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing from Saint Louis University, graduating magna cum laude. She holds certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and licensure from the Missouri State Board of Nursing. Since joining Dr. Schoenwalder’s practice in 2014, she has focused on a personalized, whole-person approach to healthcare—addressing the physical, emotional, and lifestyle factors that influence long-term wellness.
Kristina is also highly trained in advanced regenerative therapies including Prolozone, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), and bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. She is passionate about helping patients feel empowered in their own health journeys, especially in the areas of preventive and anti-aging medicine.
Outside of the clinic, Kristina enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two sons. She loves traveling, gardening, fishing, camping, biking, and creating meaningful moments with family and friends. Her holistic philosophy of care stems from a deep belief that healing involves the mind, body, and spirit.
